CLASS DIVISION
The average
kickboxing class lasts only one hour, to prevent over train injury.
Starting with a
quick warm-up, followed by stretching — then crunches, push-ups, dips
or medicine ball exercises.
Beginners learn
the basic kicks, punches, defence techniques and sequences,
30 minutes
gruelling on pads with a partner of equal size and experience.
The class ends
with a simple warm-down stretch.
Classes cost
around £7.50, pay memberships for discount if you find yourself hooked.
You can train everyday at the Martial arts Centre for £40/month (as
much as 66 hours i.e.£0.60 per hour).
You won't need
much equipment, as gloves and pads are provided.
Hand wraps (to
prevent hand or wrist injuries) are a good idea and are available from
our shop (see your instructor) for around £5.
Wear clothing
that allows a full range of movement when kicking.
